Bayardt the snaky fairy horse
I lived for a year on a street called Rue des Quatre Fils Aymon (The Four Sons of Aymon Street). I only had to walk down it to get to the formerly called Hell Street at the riverside to clear my mind or on the opposite to walk up to get to the formerly called Paradise Street to carry out the daily activities of life. I enjoyed the name of this Aymon' Sons street and the mood of this time. From time to time, I looked at the small bas-relief representing the 4 sons on the unique horse. This bas-relief annoyed me. Leave the horse alone. I reinterpreted this story, incorporating some of my vague memories. So here is a journey that is also the journey of the fairy horse from a medieval French text. This horse is also the child of a dragon and a snake. The street was not a pleasant place to walk, it was sloping, the sidewalk was narrow, and there were often children in the schoolyard yelling. This zine is not a medievalist document.
If you want to learn the « true » story of the Four Sons of Aymon, here is the wikipedia page. & If you're curious or interested in the art-pack you can look at the original French hand-writen version of this zine here at this link : angela-quidam.itch.io/bayardt
